The Secret Alley

This small tucked away Taiwanese restaurant is located right off Chinatown. Taiwan's local delicacies, which may appear humble, are well-known for their simplicity and deliciousness. Popular items include braised pork rice, beef noodle, fried chicken with basil leaves, bamboo rice pudding.

Deep-fried Spiced Chicken $6
These bite-size chicken chunks were crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. However, I felt a little more spices could add more flavour to this dish.

Pork Chop with Rice $6
I quite liked the pork and rice ratio for this dish, a nice slab of pork chop is a nom nom. The pork chop was first fried and then braised in a rich stock for a more complex flavour and texture, and came with Chinese pickles on the side.
